Hillsboro engineers have worked to develop and test an innovative design that would be lightweight and cost effective without sacrificing strength or durability while still meeting the demanding needs of the customer.  The result is the Crossover Aluminum livestock trailer.  The trailer features an industry first sidewall design of vertical extruded punched panels that lock together to form the inside stakes.  Another industry first is the SlamCam rear latch system that captures the rear gate instantly and places the cam lock in perfect alignment for quick securement.  The Crossover is being introduced as a Tough, Quality Engineered Aluminum Livestock Trailer that reduces the price gap between steel and aluminum trailers.

Our goal is to get steel trailer buyers to “Crossover” to this aluminum trailer.
